Description Scarecrow Competition and BBQ

This is one of our favourite sites, set in the beautiful rolling countryside of Northamptonshire; this site is on a working farm. The site is level with good views and, weather permitting, lovely sunrises and sunsets.

This site is a good base for exploring the surrounding area by car, by bike or on foot.

In the area
Canons Ashby 2.2 miles. Elizabethan manor house set in beautiful gardens with an impressive collection of wall paintings and Jacobean plasterwork. Remains of an Augustinian priory.

Daventry 8 miles. Historic market town has one of the largest market squares in England.

Banbury 12 miles. The modern Castle Quay Shopping Centre, and the Banbury Museum, just alongside the Oxford Canal. There are interesting waterside walks along the canal system in Banbury.

If you would like to extend your stay before or after the meet, please contact Mr & Mrs Ivens directly on 01327 361351 to enquire about their 5 van site.

Meet Details The on-site barn is available for the duration of the meet. There will be organised events for children from about 10.00 am on Saturday which will include a Scarecrow competition and the farmer, Mr. Ivens of Cherry Tree farm has agreed to supply all the straw for the entries. A communal BBQ will follow at 5.30pm before the evening dance. Ideas/offers for children's activities (i.e. face painting) to Alan White at least at least 1 week before the meet starts would be fantastic.
