Note : We return to this most rewarding of sites where the hall is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 7.30pm. The village fete should be on Saturday morning and the Three Hills Walk on Bank Holiday Monday.

This year the meet has a big change. The normal Saturday evening dance will be a Barn Dance to which all of the local villagers are to be invited. The village hall committee have suggested that a bar & food will be provided and whilst Home Counties members will not need to pay for the dance, we will be expected to contribute towards the cost of the food and buy our own drinks.

This is an opportunity for promoting our activities to non-members, so please come.

There is no hall booked for the weekend as there is so much on offer in the town. Other than that there is a possible visit to Paxton Pits nature reserve to walk and watch birds.

Thursday 23rd August 2018 3:00pm to Tuesday 28th August 2018 3:00pm Bank Holiday Meet Chipping Norton Oxfordshire
Note : Although this farm site is not far from Brailes, it is sufficiently far enough to warrant a visit to this new area for us. The Shakespeare Way passes very close to the site, the delightful Cotswold town of Chipping Norton is close enough to walk to and other places like Stow on the Wold, Burford and Charlbury are only a short drive.

Activities could include a visit to the Rollright Stones, the Chippy museum, a drink in the local pubs/teashops or some fresh air via local walks.

The site is secure with a coded locked gate. Toilets, showers and 5 electric hook-ups are available at extra cost direct to the site owner.

The village hall at Over Norton is the venue for our evening get-togethers/dance and is found just north of Chipping Norton on Postcode OX7 5PP. Turn left out of the site to Chipping Norton on the A44. At the roundabout take the first exit onto the B4026. Continue straight over the next roundabout still on the B4026 signed Over Norton. After just over half a mile turn left into Choice Road where the hall is on the left hand side after 300 yards and is booked for us on Friday evening at 8.00 pm with Saturday & Sunday evenings at 7.30 pm.

Wednesday 12th September 2018 3:00pm to Sunday 16th September 2018 5:00pm Traditional Dance and Music Meet Westcott Sports and Social Club Buckinghamshire
Note : The name of this location is not a true reflection of its appeal, being an old Army officers accommodation site with good access, secure and in the countryside. The site has a fair amount of hard standing for heavy homes and is surrounded by tall trees. The buildings appear a little tired but the dance hall is good with a stage and it is ours for the entire meet.

The site is situated close to the National Trust property of Waddesden Manor to which you could walk directly from the site. Alternatively you could visit the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, the delightful town of Thame or travel a little further to Oxford if you prefer.

Tuesday 25th September 2018 3:00pm to Sunday 30th September 2018 1:00pm Seaside Meet West Runton Norfolk
Note : This meet is another branch from our normal type of site. It benefits from being close to the sea and the Coast Hopper bus which travels along the North Norfolk coast.

Gresham village hall (NR11 8RT) is a short drive south and is available for our dances on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7.00 pm where we can chat, sing, play music and dance. Dances to start at 7.00 pm and finish at about 10.00pm for all members to return to site before 11.00pm, when the gate is locked.

FOR HOME COUNTIES MEMBERS, NORMAL H.C. FEES APPLY TO THIS MEET

Book your place through PETE & VERA-01536 510469 at least one month before the meet..
