Simple and rural camp site which appeals to those who like camping in the old fashioned sense, that is to say, they do not offer electric hook ups or hot water. This might be considered by some to be a no no and by others to be a yes yes. What this site offers is a pleasant grassy site and clean toilets. The site is in an orchard on the Farm and the other place is a field, bordered on one side by a plantation of poplar trees and a stream. Public footpaths surround the site across the fields. As the name implies, there is a considerable sized lake just up the road which I can confidently say have the best fed ducks and geese anywhere!
For those who enjoy bird life, there are many varieties. It does not take long for the ducks to discover that the campsite can be a fertile source of food and they are often to be seen quacking around the campers.
Muntjac deer are also often seen.
The village has a beautiful little Church, All Saints, which is always open for visits and contains several 17th Century memorials and early brasses of distinction. A booklet giving the history of the Church is available for 1.
